Sailing and thinking.

Sailing and thinking.

I haven’t written in awhile… I’m not quite sure why. I have been busy- a 10-day sailing trip around the British Virgin Islands with a crew of 9 (only 1 of which I knew before the trip), I’m in two weddings this summer, work, healing my hip injury, and getting to know my wonderful boyfriend.

I truly feel so blessed, though I haven’t devoted the time to writing like I want to. And even when one is busy, you can find the time to do the things you enjoy. Maybe I’ve been avoiding writing… why? It’s an outlet for me to get my true feelings out. But do I want my true feelings posted on a blog for the world to read?

One thing I have been doing a lot of is thinking. I had some time during the sailing trip to relax into my thoughts (although I was very busy tanning and partying, of course) and I’ve had a lot of time to reflect lately on what’s important to me and who I want to surround myself with. As I’m growing up, I feel more and more comfortable with myself and more confident in my decisions… but of course there are still days that things just feel overwhelming.

I think for now I’ll do my own private writing and publish what I want… and maybe one day I’ll be ready to reveal it all.

And I’m sure I’ll mess something up, but it’s a work in progress, and maybe one day the kid (who is actually 26 but will always be a kid in my eyes) will be as proud of me as I am of him.
